Our Adoption Timeline

Fall '08: Began looking into adoption

2/8/09 Prayed as a family and made the decision to adopt

6/2/09 Homestudy with Gateway Woods

6/08-9/09 Worked on our dossier (paperwork and appointments)

End of July Homestudy complete

9/18/09 Attended adoption training

9/19/09 Handed over our sealed dossier

10/2/09 Paperwork arrives in Ethiopia after passing through Ethiopian Embassy in D.C. and we officially begin our wait for a referral!

1/25/10 Received a referral for a sibling set!!

2/5/10 After much prayer, emotion and info gathering..we let the referral go. We begin waiting again.

3/2010 Switch agencies and begin paper chase again

5/21/2010 Paper chase complete: Mailed our notarized, sealed dossier to our agency..Yeah!!

6/8/10 We are officially a waiting family!!!

8/20/10 We are paper pregnant with siblings!!! YIPPIE

11/23/10 We have a court date of January 25th 2011

1/25/11 We Passed Court!!! Now we wait for our Embassy date that will determine our trip to bring them home.

5/1/11 Leaving for Africa to finally bring our angels home!

5/4/11 Embassy Date

5/6/11 Heading back Home

5/8/11 Happy Mother's Day...All my babies together...So glad to be a mommy of 5!
